What is going on in Pukhtunkhwa?

 

The Pukhtun belt stretching from Kandahar to Swat is burning, roads, bridges,schools, houses are blown , people get beheaded on mere suspicion. Hundreds of people are  kidnapped every day for ransom or as part of campaign to eliminate the elements who oppose the thugs. Suspects hide outs are bombed by NATO, US and Pakistani Air force killing almost every time innocent Pukhtuns. Pukhtuns are caught in the middle in a fight which serves OTHERS strategic interests. Normal day to day living has become a painful experience leave alone Education, economic,social, cultural activities. In such a situation we Pukhtun are in a state of shock simply flabbergasted. Our minds have turned blank as if we all have collectively suffered a concussion injuries to our head. Our eyes are wide open but see nothing.

WE ALL ARE WAITING FOR ALLAH but have forgotten that God only helps those who help themselves.

 

There is an urgent need to garner support from around the world for alleviating the plight of the Pukhtun people. But more important then that is we must get one thing right and that is to correctly analyze the situation which at the moment is absolutely absent. Besides many other short comings of Pukhtuns which are the direct cause of this situation. One very important one is failure of the Pukhtun intelligentsia to guide ,lead, protect and guard the collective interests of the Pukhtuns. Instead they toed and are still toeing the lines of their respective establishments in Afghanistan and Pakistan to the utter detriment of their Pukhtun nation. If an intelligentsia of a people behave like this they can’t expect OTHERS to give them normal life on the platter. Others will always use and abuse them for their own designs and national objectives that is what exactly is happening right now. We should not blame  Uzbek, Tajik, Punjabis , Arabs , Russians and Americans for our plight. We are the one who give them plenty of opportunities to exploit our land and our people. BUT now enough should be enough. PUKHTOON NEED TO RISE and rise with force to stop all these player who are playing with destiny of our present and  future generations. We must see who is doing all this in our land and for what. There are few players on the scene so it should not be a big deal to identify the culprit. There is US ,NATO under whose umbrella India has increased its influence that has driven mad the Pakistani security establishment which in turn wants to remove that umbrella through a long bloody insurgency and hence drive away India and retrieve its so called strategic depth and reduce Afghanistan to a client state. So in this process Pakistani security establishment has encouraged all these thugs and created a war like situation in the area adjacent to Afghanistan in which it will become very easy for them to find disgruntled spoiled youth who are recruited to the ranks of militants and then pushed over the border for sustaining that insurgency in Afghanistan.

 

Another opinion is that there is a grand conspiracy to dismember Pakistan to that end the US etc are creating instability in Pakistan. But this theory proves false in presence of so many ground realities as Hamid Mir has revealed in his report. Pak army is just conducting false/dummy operations against the militants and the casualty figures are just an eye wash ; they have not shown any dead militant. Pak army has never seriously pursued the leaders of these militants. They have never been targeted and no propaganda is carried out against

them as that would go counter to their aim. Their aim  is to popularize them and hence make them role model attractive figures for the youth rather then discrediting them in the eyes of people. No effort has been made to get Fatwas against them, there is criminal silence on this count which is a glaring proof that this is all game of Pakistani security establishment with two aims:

 

1) to show the international community that they are doing something in the so called war on terror and hence get dollars

 

2) since the actual aim is to create an atmosphere wherein large scale population is displaced and the displaced population youth they know very well ,can not lead a normal life as their education is Spoiled , economically they and their families are turned bust so those guys would get automatically gravitated towards these gun totting thugs. So Pukhtuns are victim of the ambitions of Afghani and Pakistani establishments whimsical adventures. But on the ground real people are destroyed. Not there is a single  Pukhtun from Kandahar to Swat who can say that he/she is unaffected by the current situation in one way or other. No matter how sacred the Afghani and Pakistani government/states stake might be but that should never ever justify the current abuse of the Pukhtun people.

 

Pukhtuns have been made scapegoat for quite long now.IT MUST END. We must say IT loud and clear. We must tell each of these states that we will respect your respective sovereignty but you must stop using us like prostitute. We must tell them if you don't let us live in peace we reserve the right TO DECIDE OUR OWN FUTURE we can no more allow you crocks to decide our destiny and destroy our present and future of children. In a situation where we have lost every thing we will not care what happens to them and their sovereignty. Their sovereignty can not take precedence over our lives. Our lives have been turned upside down so how they can expect us to toe their line any more.
